LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several LFR crews responded Thursday morning to a fire at an apartment complex in south Lincoln.

The fire was reported around 4:20 a.m. at an apartment complex near 48th Street and Old Cheney Road.

LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said “careless smoking” on an apartment’s deck sparked the fire.

The fire caused $25,000 in damage and displaced four people from two apartment units.

No one was injured, Lierman said.
