Cost of a new home in Lincoln on the rise

A new housing report shows costs of a new home on the market in the Capital City keeps going up.

According to the report by Zillow, the median value of a home in Lincoln is just under $181,000–up 6.5 percent from last year.

Right now, there are 6 percent more homes are for sale, as well.

A big change from last year, where November inventory was down nearly 10 percent.

Median rent has also risen slightly to just under $1,300 per month.
