LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)—A part of Interstate 80 was shut down Sunday due to a crash near Kearney.

In a post on X, the Nebraska Department of Transportation said westbound I-80 is closed about 40 miles west of Kearney, just south of Lexington.

First responders are currently on the scene of the crash, according to officials.  The details of the crash are unknown.

The transportation department said that “winter driving conditions are still present.”

I-80 has since been reopened.  Nebraska 511’s website has an updated map of road conditions.
