LPD: Alcohol, cigarettes nabbed during burglary at north Lincoln gas station
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Hundreds of dollars in merchandise was stolen Monday morning from a north Lincoln gas station, police say.
Just after 4 a.m., officers were sent to Kwik Shop near North 48th Street and Madison Avenue on a report of a burglary.
Officers arrived and found that the store’s front window was shattered. Police estimate there was $500 in damage.
In addition, $800 worth of merchandise — including alcohol and cigarettes — were stolen, according to LPD.
Investigators think the thieves reached in through the broken window to steal the items without entering the gas station.
An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
