Inmate dies at Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An inmate at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln died Monday, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said.

Lee Dunbar, 73, was seven years into a 15- to 16-year sentence for multiple counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child in Douglas County.

While the cause of death has yet to be determined, Dunbar was being treated for a medical condition.

Whenever an inmate dies, a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
