PHOTOS: Car fire causes $5,000 in damage to north Lincoln gas station
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A car burst into flames Sunday night, causing $5,000 worth of damage to a north Lincoln gas station.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews were sent to Kwik Shop at the intersection of First Street and Cornhusker Highway just before 6:30 p.m.
A Channel 8 reporter said the car was parked in front of the store and was completely charred.
Due to the heat of the fire, there was $5,000 in damage caused to the storefront, according to LFR.
A spokeswoman with LFR said the car was ‘engulfed’, so the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
