LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three Nebraska volleyball players were honored Tuesday for their accomplishments in the classroom.

Bergen Reilly and Lexi Rodriguez were named to the CSC Academic All-America first team, and Merritt Beason was selected to the second team.

It’s the first time since 2008 that Nebraska has had three Academic All-Americans in one season.

Rodriguez, who is now a member of LOVB Omaha, had a 3.65 undergraduate GPA and a 4.00 graduate GPA.  This is her third Academic All-America honor.

This is Reilly’s first Academic All-America honor.  She has a 3.81 GPA majoring in business and law.

Beason, the newest member of the Atlanta Vibe, also earned her first Academic All-America honor.  She recorded a 3.57 undergraduate GPA and a 4.00 GPA pursuing a master’s in applied science.

Nebraska volleyball has a total of 43 Academic All-America awards, the most of any volleyball program in NCAA history.
