Omaha Supernovas leaving Pro Volleyball Federation after 2025 season
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Omaha Supernovas announced Thursday that the team is leaving the Pro Volleyball Federation.
In a joint press release, officials said the Supernovas will “conclude” their participation in the PVF once the 2025 season ends.
The Supernovas are set to be a founding partner of a new indoor volleyball league that begins in January 2026.
The new league, Major League Volleyball, will have a minimum of 10 teams, including the Supernovas, the new organization said.
Officials said the Supernovas are staying in Omaha and will continue to play their home games at the CHI Health Center.
Other teams in the league will be located in Wisconsin, California, Minnesota, Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Kansas, Ohio and Washington.
In a post on X, the Supernovas released a message to their fans:
