Cold Weather Alerts in place into next week
A COLD WEATHER ADVISORY is in place for much of the state of Nebraska starting late Saturday and lasting into Tuesday of next week. Lincoln isn’t officially in this advisory, but we’re close enough and it WILL be cold, but models are showing we’ll be just above the temperatures required to be in the Cold Weather Advisory…for now. A EXTREME COLD WATCH is in place for SW Nebraska.
We’re not alone, either.
Below are two videos. One showing the temperatures through early next week and the other showing wind chill. They aren’t pleasant.
Temperatures:
Wind Chill:
Saturday will start the day in the lower teens before “warming” to around 20 degrees. The wind will have a bite to it.
It’s all downhill from there, too. Highs on Sunday and Monday will be in the lower and middle teens. Lows will be near zero.
