LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Christian School on Friday named Matt Huseman as the new superintendent.

Huseman, the school’s elementary principal, has over 11 years of experience in education, according to a press release.

The decision to hire Huseman as the school’s next leader came after an “extensive” national search, with candidates coming from across the country.

“After careful consideration and much prayer, we believe God has clearly positioned Matt Huseman to guide our school into its next chapter,” said Matt Allmand, president of the Lincoln
Christian School Board, in the release. “His unwavering dedication to our mission, vision, and values, and his proven leadership skills make him uniquely qualified to continue the tradition of excellence at Lincoln Christian School.”

Huseman said he’s excited to begin his role as the school’s superintendent.

“I am eager to continue building meaningful, Christ-centered relationships with all stakeholders,” he said.  “It will be my privilege to serve our dynamic staff, students, and families as we pursue excellence in all we do, all to the glory of God.”

The school’s current superintendent, Dr. Zach Kassebaum, will complete his service in the role at the end of June.

On July 1, Huseman will begin his new role.
