LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man used a shotgun to threaten a person at a Grand Island home on Sunday, police say.

Around 1:20 p.m., 21-year-old Joel Hernandez-Sanchez arrived at the victim’s home with a shotgun while demanding money for a debt collection.

Police said Hernandez-Sanchez aimed the shotgun at the victim, breaking a window and firing a round from the firearm.

The victim ran into the back of the home and called police.  When investigators arrived, they found a spent shell casing outside the home.

No one was injured, and police said there was no damage from the gunfire.

On Monday, officers found Hernandez-Sanchez at his Grand Island home and took him into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm while committing a felony, terroristic threats and criminal mischief.

An investigation is ongoing.
