Teen who escaped Lincoln detention center gets more than decade in prison
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A teenager was sentenced to prison Friday after escaping from a youth detention center in Lincoln last summer.
Jayden Little, 18, got 15½ to 25½ years in prison.
He pleaded guilty in December to escape, theft by unlawful taking of more than $5,000, attempt of a Class 2A felony and theft by unlawful taking of $500 or less.
About 7 p.m. on June 14, court documents say Little and two other teens escaped from the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center.
They used a metal pole and a couch to break through a window, according to an arrest affidavit.

The teens ran away from the facility and stole a car, police said.
They drove to Omaha, where the Nebraska State Patrol said they were captured later that night after a chase.
Little was 17 at the time. Channel 8 is not naming the other two teens because they are still minors.

One of them, a 16-year-old, also took a plea deal and is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 4.
The case against the third teen, a 17-year-old, is still ongoing.
