The 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman started 23 games at right guard for the Irish over the last two seasons.
Spindler was born and raised in Clarkston, Michigan, and was a former 4-star recruit out of high school.
According to On3, he was the No. 4-ranked interior lineman and No. 65-ranked overall recruit in the class of 2021.
Rhule has noticeably addressed the offensive line in the offseason, as Spindler is another sizeable addition to Nebraska’s trenches.
On Jan. 8, Nebraska landed Alabama transfer Elijah Pritchett to fill the hole at offensive tackle.

Pritchett was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide.
According to 247 Sports, Nebraska now holds the No. 5-ranked transfer portal class in the country, only behind LSU, Ole Miss, Texas Tech and Auburn.
The Huskers haven’t ranked in the top 25 in transfer portal classes since 2022, when they brought in Casey Thompson, Trey Palmer, Ochaun Mathis and Omar Brown and ranked No. 7.
Spindler will have one season of eligibility remaining.
