Small plane crashes at Wahoo Airport, the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a small plane crash on Sunday.

Just before 2 p.m., Saunders County dispatch was notified by the Omaha Airport Authority of a possible plane crash at the Wahoo Airport.

Investigation shows that the front landing gear collapsed after landing, causing a “pop strike” on the runway, according to the sheriff’s office.

The pilot was the sole occupant of the plane and was not injured, the sheriff’s office said.

FAA is conducting a follow-up investigation.
