LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska men’s basketball came from behind on Wednesday to defeat Washington 86-72 on the road.

It’s the third straight win for the 15-8 Huskers, who are trying to make up for a six-game skid that put their postseason hopes in jeopardy.

With the loss, the Huskies are 11-11.

Nebraska shot 53% from the field and 58% from 3-point range.

But the game did not start that way.

Nebraska fell behind quickly in the first half and trailed by as many as 13 points.

A 3-pointer by Brice Williams in the closing minutes of the period cut the halftime deficit to 10.

The Huskers came out hot in the second half, with Williams and Juwan Gary putting together an 11-0 scoring run.

NU was led by Williams with 23, followed by Gary with 17 and Connor Essegian with 16.

Essegian was 4-for-5 from behind the arc, and Williams was 4-for-7.

Next up, Nebraska plays at Ohio State on Sunday. The game will tip off at 1 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
