No. 25 Maryland snapped Nebraska’s four-game win streak.
The Terrapins outrebounded Nebraska 34 to 22.
Both Brice Williams and Connor Essegian played through illness in the game.
Williams still managed to finish with 20 points, knocking down three 3s.
It was the 13th time this season that Williams scored at least 20 points. His 13 20-point games tie Terran Petteway (2014-15) for the most 20-point games in a season since Nebraska joined the Big Ten.
Juwan Gary finished with a team-high 22 points.
“I’m proud of my guys,” he said. “We came back from a six-game losing streak and went on four-game winning streak. We are going to flush this away. It stings a little bit, but at the same time, we can’t dwell on this.”
The Huskers will be back on the hardwood Sunday against Northwestern at 2 p.m.
