Nebraska Task Force One member activated for severe flooding in Kentucky

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A member of Nebraska Task Force One has been activated to help with flooding relief efforts in Kentucky.
In a social media post Saturday night, the agency said a member of its “Red IST” team will travel to Kentucky.
Kentucky is among several southeastern U.S. states being impacted by severe flash flooding, according to ABC News.
The state’s governor, Andy Beshar, said on X that the statewide impact is “massive.”
Widespread flooding is continuing. The statewide impact is massive, with hundreds of water rescues and multiple fatalities. Evacuations are continuing as this event will continue through today.

The Louisville Metro Police Department’s river patrol and dive team have been responding to several water rescues in the area.
As of 10 p.m. Saturday, the agency had completed nearly 30 water rescues, according to the Facebook post.
