Teams, ticket information announced for AVCA First Serve Showcase in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Athletic Department on Monday announced 10 of the nation’s top teams will play at the AVCA First Serve Showcase in Lincoln to start the season.

Two matches will be played each day at Pinnacle Bank Arena starting Aug. 22, and going through Aug. 24.

Nebraska, Creighton, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Florida, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Minnesota will all be on display.

All of the matchups have been set, but match times and order are to be determined.

• Friday, Aug. 22
  • Nebraska vs. Pittsburgh
  • Florida vs. Stanford
• Saturday, Aug. 23
  • Creighton vs. Penn State
  • Kansas vs. Vanderbilt
• Sunday, Aug. 24
  • Nebraska vs. Stanford
  • Florida vs. Pittsburgh

On Monday, Aug. 25, Minnesota will face Texas A&M, and Kansas will play Penn State in Sioux Falls.

A ticket presale event with access codes will begin on Thursday at noon and will end on March 7. Only three-day packages will be available to purchase.

The general public will have access to tickets on Friday, March 14 at 10 a.m. and will end on April 11. Only three-day packages and a limited number of two-day packages (Friday/Sunday) will be available to purchase.

If any tickets are remaining after the general public on-sale, single-day tickets will be available for purchase starting April 18 at 10 a.m.
