Husker football teaches value of teamwork, leadership while spending day with Girl Scouts
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska and Husker Football came together on Tuesday to bond over their shared values of leadership, teamwork and community service.
Throughout the afternoon, scouts and players participated in activities like playing catch, making friendship bracelets and designing cookie-selling posters.
Scouts also took the opportunity to ask players for advice on teamwork and leadership — valuable skills they’ll use to boost their own cookie business.
“It was amazing to see the Huskers not only play and interact with the girls but also share their wisdom about working together and staying motivated,” said Josie DeVault, Marketing Director for Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska. “These lessons are key to a successful cookie program, and the girls left feeling inspired and empowered.”
The Huskers even showed their support by purchasing cookies from the scouts.
