LPS Foundation gives Park Middle School the 2025 Inspire School award
LINCOLN Neb. (KLKN) – The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools on Friday presented Park Middle School with the 2025 Inspire School of the Year award.
This year, seven schools were nominated, but foundation President Natalia Wiita said Park undeniably stood out.
“Our nominating committee hands down, based on the programs and attendance rates at Park, allowed them to be chosen for the award,” Wiita said.
Some of the programs and academic strategies that contributed to Park receiving the award are:
- School Ambassador Program
- English Learner Pilot of Prosocial Learning
- Hair care station
- School store
- Student council
“It showcases all the hard work the adults in the building do to support students and families, and it’s great for students to see that we value them and that their important in our school,” Principal Charlotte Everts said.
Park Middle School will also receive $5,000.
Everts said the money will be used to replace products in the hair care station and support the Park community.
