Minnesota man caught with more than 250 pounds of marijuana in Nebraska, patrol says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a Minnesota man Friday after finding more than 250 pounds of marijuana in northeast Nebraska.
Just before 7:30 p.m., a trooper pulled over a Chevrolet Silverado at the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 81, about 23 miles north of Norfolk.
The driver was known to have a suspended license, the patrol said.
During the traffic stop, the trooper could see marijuana in plain sight, according to the state patrol.
A search of the pickup revealed several bags of marijuana in the cab and bed of the vehicle.
According to the state patrol, the total weight was 252 pounds.
The driver, 40-year-old Coty Weber, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver and driving under suspension.
Weber was lodged in the Pierce County Jail.
