LTU will start patrolling Lincoln streets as blizzard warning begins

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Transportation and Utilites Department on Tuesday laid out its preliminary plan for road treatment and plowing.

Crews will start their patrols at 4 a.m. Wednesday, when the blizzard warning goes into effect.

LTU said crews will put salt that has been soaked in brine on the roads when conditions allow.

Snowplows will begin working on emergency, school and bus routes when snow starts to accumulate.

The city will provide another update at 5 a.m.

The blizzard warning lasts until 10 p.m.
