Nebraska baseball drops game two vs. No. 5 Oregon State

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – It was a rainy Saturday afternoon at Haymarket Park, where the Huskers fell to No. 5 Oregon State 16-5 in their first run rule defeat of the season.

The Beavers bats were on fire Saturday, powering eight home runs in a ballpark record. They led 10-1 after four innings .

Ty Horn couldn’t pick up his first win of the season, moving to 0-4 after Saturday’s loss. Horn finished with four strikeouts and a walk, while giving up five runs on six hits in three innings.

Oregon State improves to (20-5) while the Huskers fall to (11-15).

The series will be decided with game three’s first pitch  set for 12:02 CT Sunday.
