Three deputies hospitalized after saving driver from fiery Seward County crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three Seward County deputies were hospitalized Saturday night after rescuing someone from a fiery crash.
Around 7:15 p.m., deputies responded to a crash near 252nd Road and Saltillo Road.
A car left the road and crashed into a tree, causing the car to catch fire, the Seward County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
The sole occupant was pulled from the car by Seward County deputies and a Nebraska state trooper.
According to authorities, the driver was taken to Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln with severe burns.
Due to the driver being a minor, their name will not be released by authorities.
While getting the victim out of the car, three deputies suffered injuries.
All three were treated at Seward Memorial Hospital and released later that evening.
The crash is still under investigation.
