The Huskers went back-and-forth with the Bluejays off the jump.
Crieghton went up 3-0 after the first inning.
Lincoln native Jalen Worthley took the mound after TJ Coats gave up the first 3 runs.
Worthley struck out a batter and induced a pop-up to get the Huskers out of the inning.
Nebraska struck back in the third, scoring 3 runs themselves.
After a tough battle, Creighton pulled away late, scoring 3 runs in the ninth inning.
Senior outfielder Riley Silva had a great game, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
“In batting practice, too, it was a good day for the hitters, but we had a lot of balls hit hard,” Silva said. “It’s just the wrong day for that honestly, and low and hard would have played better.”
The Huskers head to Omaha on Wednesday to play the UNO Mavericks. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
