Lincoln Pius X announces new activities director

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Pius X High School announced Wednesday that Trevor Johnson will serve as its new activities director.

Johnson, a 2010 graduate of Pius X, just finished his sixth season as the head men’s basketball coach at Buena Vista University in Iowa.

“I owe so much of my own growth to the lessons and faith I received during my time at Pius X, and now I’m fortunate to have the chance to pass those lessons on to the next generation of Thunderbolts,” Johnson said in a statement.

Pius X’s chief administrative officer, Jeremy Ekeler, thanked interim activities director Tim Aylward for stepping into the role for the 2024-25 school year.

“He’s going to be a tremendous mentor to Trevor as we hand off our Bolt legacy of excellence in all of our activities,” Ekeler said.
