One in critical condition after two-vehicle accident in downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A driver is in critical condition on Monday after a two-vehicle crash in downtown Lincoln.

Just before 1 p.m., first responders were sent to the intersection of 17th and P streets on the report of an injury accident.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, one of the vehicles hit the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union building.

In a video sent to our NOW Local News App by a Channel 8 reporter, you can see both vehicles on the sidewalk with significant damage.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital, with one in critical condition, LPD said.

The intersection will remain closed as officers work to clean up the crash.

There is still no word on what caused the crash.
