Vehicle crashes into canal in western Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – First responders in western Nebraska responded to a vehicle that crashed into a canal on Monday.

The crash happened along South Cottonwood Road in rural Lincoln County, the sheriff’s office said.

When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle submerged in the canal.

The sheriff’s office said the driver was later found with minor injuries.

Investigators noted that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The Lincoln County Dive Rescue Team and a local towing service helped pull the vehicle out of the canal.
