Nebraska Task Force One to return home from Arkansas floods

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska Task Force One is scheduled to return Friday from its deployment to the South.

The team was in Arkansas for nine days after flooding devastated the state.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue praised the task force for its “tireless effort” while working in difficult conditions.

“As NE-TF1 returns home, the team wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the communities they had the privilege of serving,” LFR said on Facebook. “In the midst of hardship and loss, they observed remarkable resilience, compassion, and solidarity.”

The task force will return to Lincoln on Friday evening.

Community members invited to welcome the team members home at their headquarters at 901 W. Bond St.
