LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A former Lincoln Public Schools teacher pleaded not guilty Wednesday to abusing three students.

Hilary Everett, 43, waived her preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court, and a judge sent the case to district court.

Everett, a former teacher at Beattie Elementary School, is charged with intentional child abuse with no injury.

Court documents allege that she abused three children between Aug. 1 and Feb. 26.

The Lincoln Police Department said Everett put hand sanitizer in their mouths and put bleach water on their hands.

She also guided a child by squeezing his ear and slapping a child in the back of the head, police said.
