Nebraska baseball’s Dylan Carey named to Brooks Wallace Award watch list

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The College Baseball Foundation on Friday named Nebraska shortstop Dylan Carey to the 2025 Brooks Wallace Award watch list.

The award honors the nation’s top shortstop and will be presented by the College Baseball Foundation later this year.

Carey is hitting .290 from the plate with 11 doubles, six home runs, 31 RBIs and 29 runs scored this season.

The Castle Rock, Colorado, native also leads the Big Ten and is ranked 14th nationally with six sacrifice flies on the season.

Carey has totaled nine multi-hit and nine multi-RBI games in 2025.
