Nice day Tuesday with spot evening storms south

Today is Earth Day, a celebration started first back in 1970 before being globally recognized by 1990.

It should be a fantastic day to enjoy being outside to celebrate!

After a milder morning, more clouds to be seen today than most of Monday. What a nice day it should be!

Temperatures will be up around the middle 70s with some spot storms to the south of Lincoln this evening.

There is a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk for an isolated severe storm down toward the Kansas and Missouri borders. Gusty winds and some smaller hail up to about 1″ may be possible.

Storms this evening look to pulse up beyond about 5 p.m. Tuesday. This activity misses Lincoln to the south and east, clearing out late tonight.

There are better chances for scattered storms occasionally by Wednesday and Thursday. A Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk includes Lincoln, Omaha and all of southern Nebraska with the southern 2/3 of the Panhandle for the afternoon and evening timeframe.

The main threats tomorrow will still be some gusty winds and hail up around 1″ in diameter.
