Husker Games: Nebraska football, volleyball and soccer on full display
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – It was an eventful day in Lincoln with three Nebraska squads getting an early start to their 2025 season.
Nebraska football, volleyball, and soccer all took part in the first ever Husker Games.
The Football team held a scrimmage starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by several other fun games/events including a QB shootout, kickoff challenges, strongest man challenges, and a John Cook roping event.

The scrimmage was a battle of Team Red vs. Team Black, where Team Red won the day with a final score of 70-30.
While the football festivities were going on at Memorial Stadium, the Soccer team kicked off their 2025 season in a match vs. Wyoming at Hibner field. The Huskers defeated the Cowboys 3-2.

To cap this epic Saturday off, Husker Volleyball officially began the Dani Busboom Kelly era with their first match at the Bob Devaney Center of the 2025 season.
Nebraska faced off against the Kansas Jayhawks in a heavyweight bout.
The Huskers swept the Jayhawks, beating them 4-0.
The teams agreed to play four sets regardless of the results, Nebraska winning 25-20, 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

The team will play South Dakota State in Ord next Saturday on May 3 at 2:00 p.m.
