Man caught with vehicle stolen from UNL’s campus, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested Monday morning after stealing a vehicle from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s campus.

Around 2:15 a.m., an officer pulled over a Jeep with no headlights near Salt Creek and Antelope Valley Parkway.

Police said the officer discovered the driver, 20-year-old Aaron Gonzales, had stolen the vehicle about 10 minutes earlier from UNL’s campus.

Gonzales was arrested on suspicion of felony theft.  He was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail.
