Man threatened Uber driver with pocket knife in Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Uber ride from Gretna to Lincoln on Thursday ended with a man threatening the driver with a pocket knife, police say.

Around 1:30 a.m., officers were sent to Northwest 12th and West Adams streets on a report of a weapons violation.

An Uber driver picked up 56-year-old Chad Fetherston in Gretna and took him to Lincoln, according to LPD.

When they arrived in Lincoln, Fetherston pulled out a pocket knife and threatened the driver, police said.

Fetherston then got out of the vehicle and went into a nearby hotel.

Officers eventually found Fetherston at a different hotel next door and took him into custody.  The knife was found in his pocket, LPD said.

He was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
