WATCH: Man steals kid’s bicycle outside northeast Lincoln library

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are seeking a man who stole a kid’s bicycle outside a northeast Lincoln library last month.

The theft happened at Anderson Library near 58th and Fremont streets on April 7.

A security camera captured a man walking up to a bicycle — which was on the bike rack — and riding off with it.  Shortly after, the kid’s father reported the bike stolen.

Police said the thief was bald and possibly in his 40s.  He was wearing a shirt that said “They Not Like Us” and oversized blue shorts.

Investigators are also searching for a man who swiped a woman’s wallet at Lobo City Mex on April 15.

The victim had forgotten her wallet when going to a counter to cash a check.  When she returned, the wallet was gone.

Video showed a man putting the wallet into his backpack before leaving on a bike, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
