Lincoln Youth Football kicks off first girls flag football season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Youth Football hosted the first night of its inaugural girls flag football season on Tuesday.

The league is designed to give them a platform to play football in the Lincoln area.

It was an eight-month process to get it going, but the first night proved to be well worth the effort.

“The girls are learning, they’re showing they’re as competitive as anybody,” said Lincoln Youth Football Vice President Tank Perry. “We just want to give them a platform to lift them up. It’s so fun to coach these girls. It’s just amazing.”
