Judge dismisses meth case against Lincoln man

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A methamphetamine case in Lancaster County District Court was thrown out Tuesday.

Judge Lori Maret dismissed the case against Da’marsell Miller, 25, at the request of prosecutors.

The charges were dismissed without prejudice, meaning the state could refile them.

Miller had been charged with possession of more than 140 grams of meth and possession of money while committing a drug offense.

Police said they found 5 pounds of meth, a digital scale with meth residue and multiple firearms in a March 10 search of his home.

Court documents say investigators found another gun, a small amount of marijuana and $825 in cash in his vehicle.

It’s not known why prosecutors made the motion to toss the case.
