Nebraska men’s basketball announces non-conference slate for 2025-26 season
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska men’s basketball announced its slate of non-conference opponents for the 2025-26 season on Friday.
The Huskers open the season with exhibition games against BYU and Midland before starting the regular season against West Georgia on Nov. 3.
Nebraska faces former Big 12 rival Oklahoma in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Nov. 15.
For the first time since 2018, the Huskers will play in the Hall of Fame Classic, which features Mississippi State, New Mexico and Kansas State.
Nebraska’s annual matchup against in-state rival Creighton is set for Dec. 7 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The team’s final non-conference opponent is New Hampshire on Dec. 30.
“We have a number of tests in our non-conference schedule, beginning with the exhibition game with a BYU team that went to the Sweet 16 last season,” Hoiberg said in a press release. “That matchup will give us a good gauge heading into the season. We open with three straight home games before facing Oklahoma and two high-caliber games in the Hall of Fame Classic the following week. The December portion of the schedule features Creighton which will be one of the favorites in the Big East and two Big Ten games before we return to conference play in January.”
Tip-off times and broadcast information for all of the games will be announced at a later date.
