Man arrested for threatening people with a rifle

A man is in custody after Lincoln Police say he threatened to kill people with a stolen rifle.

29-year-old Jonathan Gouty reportedly made the threats at a home near 36 & X Streets.

Lincoln Police were called around 9:30, and were told one person observed Gouty loading ammunition into a rifle while making these threats.

Police found him walking down a nearby bike path with the rifle.

Gouty ran but was later arrested.

The weapon, discovered to be stolen in October of 2017, was recovered.  Gouty is charged with making Terroristic Threats, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm due to a previous CCW conviction.
