Crews respond to ‘major gas leak’ near UNL’s East Campus, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Black Hills Energy crews responding to a “major gas leak” in east Lincoln on Wednesday.

In a post on social media about 9:15 a.m., police said 33rd Street between Holdrege and Potter streets was shut down.

Black Hills estimated was working to repair the leak for hours, and barricades blocked traffic.

At 12:15 p.m., police said the road was back open.
