Poll of the Day: Would you support cutting property taxes by 50% in Nebraska?

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two petitions aimed at combating rising property taxes in Nebraska were launched on Monday.
Representatives from the group Advocates For All Nebraskans announced the petitions at the State Capitol rotunda.
One petition seeks to cut property taxes by 50% for homes, farms and businesses. The other would cap annual property valuation increases at 3% or less.
In a news release, organizers said Nebraska’s property tax burden “is among the highest in the nation.”
The organizers noted that the petitions would give “voters the opportunity to enact immediate and meaningful tax reform.”
