A pleasant next few days- Storm chances this weekend
Here’s what we are tracking going into this weekend:
- A dry next couple of days. There will be some small rain chances south of I-80 Wednesday night. Most of the rain will stay in north central Kansas.
- Wednesday will be a bit breezy and cloudy. Southwest winds will gust to around 20 mph through the day. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
- Storms will stay out west Friday night and stall out in central Nebraska through Saturday and Sunday. Sunday will be the better chance for scattered rain and storms in Eastern Nebraska. Rain totals west of Grand Island could range from 0.50″- 1.25″+ through Sunday.

Tonight, temperatures getting closer to 60°. It will still feel quite pleasant for any outdoor plans to end the night.
Wednesday afternoon will be a touch warmer, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s under partly sunny skies.
Hold onto your hats! Southwest winds pick up around lunchtime Wednesday and keep gusting near 20 mph into the evening.
The first Husker game is getting closer! By kickoff, temperatures near 70° under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will remain light out of the east through the game.
Wednesday evening, rain chances look to stay south of I-80 along the Kansas/Nebraska border. A few rain showers could move further north. Friday night, storms look to form out west and slowly move east through Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening. We could see some rain showers Labor Day due to a disturbance up north bringing storms possible Tuesday. Temperatures will stay quite nice in the 70s and 80s through next week!
