Woman arrested after meth found in Grand Island Dollar General bathroom

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she left a bag of methamphetamine in a bathroom at a Grand Island store.

Tina Wells, 40, of Hastings is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Police were called to Dollar General near Broadwell and Capital avenues after drugs were found in the employee bathroom.

The was a bag of meth, plus a green and white bag with a meth pipe inside, according to the Grand Island Police Department.

An officer reviewed video footage that showed Wells carrying a green and white bag to the restroom, police said.

Investigators also found a small baggy of meth in Wells’ bag, according to an arrest affidavit.

On Wednesday, Wells was released on bond from the Hall County Jail.

She is due back in court on Sept. 26.
