Holiday Weekend Showers Continue for Sunday
Recent Rainfall:
Southeast Nebraska has gotten some much needed rain over the past 24 hours. The graphic above shows rainfall totals from 10 a.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday. Localized areas in Adams and Kearney County saw upwards of 4 inches of rain on Saturday.
The Weather Prediction Center has much of eastern Nebraska under a MARGINAL RISK of excessive rainfall through Monday. Multiple rounds of rainfall have moved through the area, increasing the risk for localized areas of flash flooding.
Per guidance from the Weather Prediction Center, any flash flooding should remain fairly localized, with urban and low-lying areas experiencing the greatest risk.

In Lincoln, we drop to the lower 60s this evening with mostly cloudy skies. Rain chances continue into the overnight hours with an easterly breeze.

A dreary Labor Day forecast for the Capital City with temperatures tomorrow remaining in the 60s. Showers continue to blanket the forecast with a light breeze for most of the day.
Expect fall-like temperatures to continue for the first half of September, with much of the eastern half of the country remaining below average to start the new month.
Storm chances continue through the middle of this week before clear skies return on Thursday. High temperatures this week will be in the upper 60s and low 70s, with overnight lows dropping to the upper 40s and lower 50s by the end of the week. It does not get much better in terms of football weather on Saturday as the Huskers host Akron for their home-opener with highs in the mid-70s.
