REVERSE SWEEP: No. 1 Huskers stay undefeated in five-set thriller over No. 7 Kentucky
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 1-ranked Nebraska volleyball team reverse-swept No. 7 Kentucky on Sunday, winning 3-2 in the Broadway Block Party.
The Huskers won 24-26, 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-8 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
As a team, Nebraska had a .221% hitting percentage and held Kentucky to a .168% hitting percentage.
Harper Murray was the work horse for the Huskers, racking up a career high 23 kills with a .340% hitting percentage and tallying five blocks.
Rebekah Allick tallied 10 kills on 20 swings, while Andi Jackson also had 10 kills.
Bergen Reilly racked up a team-high 46 assists, while also leading the team in digs with 18.
Kentucky was led by Brooklyn DeLeye with 23 kills, and Eva Hudson tallied 19 kills.
The Huskers will head back home to host the Ameritas Players Challenge at the Bob Devaney Center.
Nebraska will play Wright State on Friday at 7 p.m. on Big Ten Plus.
The Huskers will also play California on Sunday at 1 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
