Seward Bluejays win third straight game, fly past Lincoln Northwest
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Seward Bluejays soared past the Lincoln Northwest Falcons on Friday night.
Seward led the entire time, winning 28-17 at Union Bank & Trust Stadium.
Early in the first quarter, Seward’s Peyton Else took the handoff through traffic and found the end zone, giving the Bluejays an early 7-0 lead.
But the Falcons flew down the field on their next drive.
With 2 yards to go, the Falcons decided to go for it on 4th down.
Kaiden Wood muscled his way through the pack for a touchdown, but the Bluejays blocked the extra point, keeping the lead 7-6.
Later in the first, on 4th and 8, Goracke heaved the ball to Sam Sagehorn for a 40-yard touchdown, giving the Blue Jays a 14-6 lead.
With the win, the Bluejays move to 3-2 on the season, while the Falcons fall to 1-4.
Seward will look to stay in the win column next week against Grand Island Northwest.
Lincoln Northwest will look to rebound against York on Friday.
