Refreshing, rainy Monday brings relief from recent heat
The first five days of October in Lincoln: 85°, 89°, 90°, 88° and 83°.
Today will be SO much cooler, with daytime temperatures remaining steady in the 50s for a change!
Occasional showers will continue especially throughout the morning hours this Monday, picking up a bit more after sunrise and toward the mid-morning hours.
Then showers are expected to dissipate throughout the afternoon and evening, before clouds clear overnight into Tuesday morning.
Additional rainfall amounts look to stay in the 0.10 – 1″ range from 7 a.m. through about 10 p.m. Monday night.
Temperatures will be slow to warm even though the clouds clear out for more sunshine on Tuesday. Highs in the 60s and 70s this week will be a welcome change and much more appropriate for this point in the year – and finally more of a fall feeling.
We will be warmer by next weekend though, temperatures climbing toward the low and middle 80s it looks like for Saturday and Sunday (October 11 and 12).
