Nebraska football fights back in road victory over Maryland

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska football won a rollercoaster of a road game on Saturday against Maryland 34-31.

The Huskers were up 24-17 at the end of the first half.

Nebraska was leading by as many as 10 points in the first half before Maryland cut the lead to a one-score game with a field goal.

Maryland scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 31-24 lead going into the final period.

Nebraska rallied and scored 10 straight points to end the game.

Dylan Raiola found Dane Key with 1 minute and 12 seconds left in the game for the winning touchdown.

Raiola went for 260 yards passing and four touchdowns, fighting through a three-interception day.

Emmett Johnson had a career night. He finished with 196 total yards of offense – 176 yards on the ground and 20 receiving yards.

Nyziah Hunter also played a big role in the game. He scored two touchdowns and had 125 receiving yards.

Nebraska’s next game is on the road against Minnesota on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
