Police rule north Lincoln shooting a murder-suicide

Lincoln Police say a Lincoln man shot and killed the mother of his children and then himself. 

Police said 48-year-old Adnan Almansouri and 35-year-old Rasha Khaled were found deceased inside a home near 14th Street and Humphrey Avenue around 5 p.m., both with apparent gunshot wounds. 

On Wednesday, Lincoln Police Chief Bliemeister said Almansouri shot Khaled four times, before shooting himself once. He said police do not believe anyone else is responsible for their deaths. 

Police said five children were removed from the home and were safe. Police said the children ranged in age from three to 14, and included four girls and one boy.

Bliemeister said Almansouri and Khaled had a “volatile” relationship.
